Definitions

• “Platform” – the LCP web site, APIs and related services.

• “Recording” / “Content” – audio, text or metadata you upload.

• “Owner” – the account that uploaded a Recording.

Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and capable of entering a binding contract. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.

User‑generated content licence

You retain ownership of your Recordings. By uploading you grant LCP a world‑wide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free licence to store, process and stream the content solely to provide the Platform. You may revoke the licence by deleting the Recording.

Consents & permissions

Owners control who can stream or download each Recording. You must not circumvent these permissions. Access may be time‑limited or require owner approval.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload material you do not have the right to share.

• Post illegal, hateful or harassing content.

• Attempt to reverse‑engineer or interfere with the Platform.

• Use the service for commercial speech synthesis without explicit agreement.

Intellectual Property

All software and branding remains the property of Future Ancestors Alliance. You may not use our name or logo without permission.

Third‑party services

The Platform integrates Azure Cognitive Services, Entra ID, Google, Facebook OAuth and other third‑party APIs. Their separate terms apply.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination your licence to use the Platform ends.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as‑is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is less.

Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your Content.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Venue lies exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Seattle, WA.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms with 30 days’ notice via email or in‑app banner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
